About Me

My name is David and I have been in the Arizona State Prison system now for 14 years. I arrived in this situation as a scared, 21 year old college student, with a budding career in modeling. The nature of my crime was vehicular and not one of criminal intent. I am not a murderer, but I am by no means perfect.

The intent of this blog is to provide an explanation of what life in prison is really all about. You will learn through the course of my entries, that prison is not as it appears on TV. There are certainly comical and entertaining moments. There are also very violent and inhumane aspects to this environment. And there are absolutely life lessons to be learned. You will also discover, through my experience, how I manage to survive in an environment that is structured around conformity. My world is a constant balancing act between living a lie and hanging desperately onto the truth.

Hopefully, you will decide to take a step outside of the box and read ahead. Who knows? You may actually learn something along the way!
